Three different beautiful Japanese scrolls. Painted on silk. We are not sure how old these scrolls are but we definitely know they are certainly worth more than the asking price!

Scroll 1. Cranes

The Cranes and turtles in Japanese culture are a symbol of happiness and health. Brings a smile to your face just from looking at it. Has a few stains.

 Scroll 2. In the Mountains.
A characteristic influence of Chinese art is strongly present in this scroll. This work of art provides a magnificent example of seemingly paradoxical states, on the one hand isolation and ruggedness, yet on the other shared peacefulness and tranquility.  Has a small stain in the right hand corner.

Scroll 3. Icy River.

A real masterpiece. On first glance a nature scene, but the hut snuggled at the foot of the mountains and framed by the icy waters, almost glacial in appearance, suggests a deep warmth and emits a glow that is irresistible and you can almost feel it. Exquisite attention to detail makes the entire scene seem very real. The scroll is a little worn in places.
