Aikido hakama from Budostuff is available in three different types of fabric: polyester, cotton and wool/linen. Our cotton and woollen hakama are made of high quality materials generally for the use of senseis or shihans. These high quality garments are used for "special occasions", such as any kinds of shows in front of audiences and aikido seminars. For your everyday training the best hakama are the polyester ones, with an excellent cut, which perfectly moulds to the shape of your body, and as a result can also be used during public shows. A tough and yet, elastic koshiita is designed so that it does not get in the way of repetitive ukemi falls during training.

The size of the hakama is calculated from the bottom edge of the tie belt to the very bottom edge of the hakama, see example below:

Polyester and woollen hakama are available in black and navy colours, cotton hakama available in navy only.
Sizes 21.5, 22.5, etc. as well as small sizes (children's) and extra large sizes are also available by special order.
NB! When determining your size remember that women tie their hakama on the waist line where as men tie it on their hips!
You can have your name (or anything else) embroided on your hakama in a choice of colours. On black hakama "orange" embroidery is recommended.

NB! Each hakama is custom made to your request, so please allow 3 weeks to finalise your order.
*Shipping: our standard method of postage is EMS currier. You can expect to receive you goods within 3 working days from the date of postage. NB. For orders requesting several items shipping costs can decrease considerably, and will be calculated on a case by case basis. Other forms of shipping are also possible, including normal air mail (for packages under 2kg, approx 3/4 of the cost of EMS and delivery takes 1-2 weeks). Surface mail is the cheapest form of postage and takes approximately 2 months. In case of air or surface postage we do not take responsibility for the delivery and will only use this form of postage on special request by the customer.
Special offer for bulk orders. If you order three or four hakama, you are eligible to get the next one for only 1/2 price with the same order! If you order five hakama, you will get a sixth one for free (with the same order)! Costs of shipping are also much lower for larger orders.
